Securities and Bequests

A gift of appreciated securities will not only benefit the Law School, but may result in significant tax benefits to you as well. You may also choose to make a gift to the Sorensen Center for International Peace and Justice through your will or living trust. If so, you will become a member of our Legacy Society, a group of extraordinary graduates and friends who have made the Law School a beneficiary of their estates. Should you decide to remember CUNY Law School this way, please let us know, so that we may recognize your generosity. To discuss these or other planned giving opportunities, please contact Camille Massey at 718-340-4172.

Matching Gifts

Many corporations have matching gift programs that will match employee gifts. Ask your human resources department about programs your company may offer for matching your charitable donations. Please designate that the gift is intended for Sorensen Center for International Peace and Justice.

Donors will be acknowledged in a number of ways:

  • Founders' Circle ($500,000) contributors and higher will be listed on prominent signage; a press release, if desired, will be sent to law journal and philanthropy publications
  • All contributors to the Sorensen Center Endowment Fund will be listed in alphabetical order, according to giving categories, on materials
