The Community Legal Resource Network, (CLRN) provides innovative support for CUNY Law graduates in having fulfilling, social justice careers from law school through retirement.

Advancing the Practice of Law

Community Lawyering

This program works with graduates intent on expanding the legal practice beyond traditional attorney roles.  As part of the program, alumni are encouraged to explore models of lawyering that not only resolve a discrete individual problem, but combine the law with methods of popular education and organizing to have a greater impact in a community.
CLRN is hiring its first Community Lawyering fellow for 2015-2016.  For information on how to apply, click here.

Reflection In Action

In keeping with CUNY Law’s training of “Plan. Do. Reflect.”,  CLRN creates spaces for alumni to gather together for critical examination and discussion on the effectiveness of their work, and to make recommendations for reform of the legal systems in which they practice.
